What is Stephen Ministry?

Stephen Ministry is a specialized caregiving ministry designed to equip and empower individuals within our church community to provide one-on-one Christian care to those in need. This valuable program offers emotional and spiritual support to individuals dealing with a wide range of life situations such as grief, loss, divorce, illness, and more. Stephen Ministers are trained to offer confidential, compassionate care, ensuring that no one faces their struggles alone.

How Does Stephen Ministry Work?

At Bible Baptist Church, our Stephen Ministry program operates through a structured process. If you or someone you know is in need of support, you can reach out to our ministry coordinator, who will carefully match you with a Stephen Minister best suited to provide support based on your specific needs and circumstances.

Once matched, your Stephen Minister will meet with you on a regular basis, usually once a week, in a safe and confidential environment. These one-on-one sessions allow you to openly share your thoughts, feelings, and concerns, while your Stephen Minister offers active listening, empathy, and support. The care and guidance you receive from your Stephen Minister will be rooted in Christian love and biblical wisdom.

Our Highly Trained Caregivers

At Bible Baptist Church, we take great pride in the level of training and qualifications our Stephen Ministers possess. Each caregiver undergoes a comprehensive training program, equipping them with the necessary skills to provide effective care and support. Our ministers are carefully selected based on their compassion, empathy, and genuine desire to help others.

Throughout their training, our Stephen Ministers learn vital listening skills, crisis intervention techniques, and how to provide emotional and spiritual care in a non-judgmental manner. They are extensively educated on a range of topics including grief, divorce recovery, hospital visitation, and more. Rest assured, when you engage with a Stephen Minister from Bible Baptist Church, you are receiving care from a highly qualified individual who is committed to your well-being.

Services Offered through Stephen Ministry

The Stephen Ministry program at Bible Baptist Church offers a variety of services to meet the diverse needs of our community members. Some of the services provided include:
